Today we are in Spain, Burgos. We have spent the day out along a part of the camino which was one of dads favourite parts of the camino. We visited the small village of manistonis where a local albergue leader had planted a tree in memory of dad with a plaque. This was funded by donations from a online community forum by fellow pilgrims and albegue personnel and planted just off the path into the village. People have leftvrocks stones origami bords bybhis plaque and has left me with feelkngs of love, respect and courtesy for a man who loved nohing more than walking in the wuiet foothills of spain. We also visited another village further up the route away from santiago where some of dads remains were scattered. Helens and linda took them out there june 2017. Dad had wished to be scattered in the gardens of the church to which alas, was locked and to be honest didnt look like much. So they wandered out lf the village up the camino and under the cross on top of a hill scattered the remains of dad. With the wind behind them blowing up the path the wind carried his ashes along , heading en route to santiago. A fitting end for a extrodianry man and feel this is what he wouldve settled for not being able to access or find his gardens
